Video Submission Overview

2021 MLK Day Parade User Video Submission Overview

 

Please email us your 1 or 2 minute clip by December 15th at 12 pm. Clips received after this date and time will not be accepted and will not be a part of the 2021 Original MLK Day Parade.

  1. Please only send footage that falls into one of the following categories:
    • A performance (dance, cheer or band)
    • Submit performance only, do not introduce activity
    • A speech, poem or other oratory submission
    • Submit speech, performance or oratory submission, do not introduce speaker
  2. Please create thematically-driven content that aligns with past parades and/or the values of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., such as peace, progress and unity. This year’s parade theme is Truth, Love & Justice.
  3. Videos will be accepted that meet the following criteria:
    • Shot horizontally from a phone or camera, like the image below

For all videos, participants must “move into” the shot from the left when you begin and “move out” of the shot to the right when you finish. Example

    1. When possible, we recommend wearing earbuds or headphones with microphone to prevent audio echoes.
    2. Please shoot in a well-lit area, with limited distractions in the background and minimal background noise
    3. Please email us the text you would like shown on screen
    • The name of your organization
    • Your website
    • The name and title of your spokespersons (when applicable)

We reserve the right to reject videos that are not shot in landscape mode OR have poor audio and video quality
